3 Snacks for 3pm Sugar Cravings ♥

15/3/2015

Comments

When I'm working, 3pm is the hardest part of the day. I do so good during the day, healthy breakfast, satisfying lunch, then 3pm hits and I want to consume every piece of sweet, deliciousness I can find. When I found about the new Anchor Greek range, I felt that maybe, possibly, this was the solution to my sugar coated problem. Anchor Greek Style Yoghurt starts with a thick and creamy base, which is then topped with a fruity layer of passionfruit, pear or strawberry. I am in love with the 180g pottles, perfect for a quick snack that you can devour quickly, but leaves you feeling full until your next unexpected snack break ;) They are super high in protein and low in fat, so you don't need to feel guilty for finishing a pottle in a matter of minutes.

Not only perfect for eating alone, this range is also really versatile. I have created 3 snacks using each of the Anchor Greek flavours, each being extremely effortless and an ideal, wholesome, Instagram worthy snack ♥

Raspberry & Pear Smoothie Cubes

These little cubes make for the quickest route to a thick, fruity and rich smoothie in minutes. Pop into a blender with a banana, a handful of oats and a splash of almond milk - so, dang, delicious.

To make these:

  • Take one 180g pottle of Anchor Greek Pear Yoghurt, and stir well so the pear topping is combined. Evenly spoon the yoghurt into a clean ice cube tray, then pop a few frozen raspberries into each.
  • Tap on the bench top, cover with plastic wrap and freeze until solid. Remove from the tray as needed!

Maple Muesli Clusters

This recipe only takes a few pantry staples to create a delicious crunchy topping to serve with either of the three yoghurt flavours, but these can also be set in a baking tin and turned into muesli bars! Either way, they are an ideal accompaniment.

To make these:

  • Take 1/4 cup sweetner of your choice (try to use one that will solidify) and 1/2 cup of coconut oil or butter, and place them in a pot. Cook over a medium heat until fully melted.
  • Place 3 cups of your favourite muesli in a bowl, then pour the melted mixture over the top. Stir well, then transfer onto a lined tray. Chill in the fridge until set, then break apart into clusters and enjoy. I love these with the Strawberry Anchor Greek!

Peach & Passionfruit Chia Pudding

This recipe works as either a delicious snack or a no hassle breakfast, and can easily be made a few days in advance and kept in the fridge (if it lasts that long!).

To make this:

  • In a bowl, whisk together one 180g pottle of Anchor Greek Passionfruit Yoghurt, 1/2 cup peach puree, and 1/2 cup of milk. Add in 1/4 cup of chia seeds, and whisk well.
  • Place into a container, and leave to thicken for at least 4 hours or overnight. Enjoy topped with some sliced peaches, almonds and extra yoghurt!

Which recipe would you try first? I'm excited to wake up to a delish chia pudding!
