Mango, Avocado & Passionfruit Smoothie



First of all, happy New Year everyone! For me, last year absolutely flew by at rapid pace, but now the stress of December has passed, we can start fresh and focus on what’s to come.

I’m starting 2017 with a series of content focused on humble dairy products. I include dairy in my everyday lifestyle, and I thought the start of New Year would be a great way to show you how you can do the same and see dairy in a completely different light. Dairy isn’t all about indulgence, and for the next week I will bring you 7 video recipes on how to use dairy products in 7 different meals; first we have a smoothie recipe, then breakfast, lunch, a snack, dinner, dessert and a platter for entertaining. I can’t wait to share the rest of these videos with you!

So to start things off simple, I have a fresh smoothie recipe that has no crazy ingredients, just simple products you can find in your local supermarket. Mango, banana, avocado, rolled oats, passionfruit yoghurt, a dash of milk and water. All blended up! Simple as that and a great way to start these warm summer days.

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • ½ fresh mango
  • 1 banana
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 heaped tbsp rolled oats
  • ½ cup passionfruit greek yoghurt
  • ¼ cup milk + ¼ cup water

Method
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. For a thinner consistency, add more water and blend.
  2. Top with passionfruit and rolled oats if desired.
