Nutella Hazelnut Scrolls

Picture

I have a major sweet tooth, and even more specifically a Nutella tooth, in saying that who doesn't?! This recipe is a combination of sweet brioche and cinnamon rolls, like their little hazelnutty food baby. Between the light, buttery dough are layers of Nutella and chopped hazelnuts that have all melded together to these sticky sweet scrolls - don't even bother taking these to work, I promise you, you'll want to keep them all to yourself...

They are a little bit of a labour of love in terms of time, but if you've never worked with yeast based doughs before this is a really good place to start! I chose to knead my dough by hand, but if you have an electric mixer with a dough hook it will work perfectly. I also used my hot water cupboard to prove the dough, but in the past I've heated my oven to 50 degrees celsius then turned it off and proved the dough inside with the door ajar. Just find a warm spot in the house and you'll be set!

Eat while warm with a sprinkle of icing sugar and some Nutella spread over the top and you'll be in chocolate hazelnut heaveeeeeeen.

*This isn't sponsored by Nutella - I wish... hahah
