Smoothies have been around for forever and a year, from as early as 1940 people have been blending together their fave ingredients to create a delish and filling drink for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The popularity of smoothies has rapidly grown since the increasing number of people deciding to pursue clean eating, and juicing even more so. To me when I was a kid, a smoothie consisted of banana, ice cream, milk and some drinking chocolate; let's be honest, the furthest thing from healthy (but ignorance is bliss, right?). Lately, my eyes have been opened to the world of opportunities, green smoothies, superfood smoothies, smoothies topped with chia seeds and cacao nibs, there are endless choices! They leave you feeling completely full and satisfied for hours, and it gives our bodies the fruit and vege hit we need, without really noticing that we have! My current favourite recipe has to be frozen bananas, medjool dates, milk/almond milk, a little almond or peanut butter and some chia seeds. I might as well be the spokeswoman for the life changing combination that is banana and peanut butter, I mean, is there anything better?! |
Here are three of my favourite websites/facebook pages for the ultimate drool worthy smoothies, and I promise you if you even try one, you will be hooked for ever!

2. HappyBody: Diana embodies all things smoothies, her pics always make me want to like my screen and every recipe of hers I have tried, I LOVED. I love her 'I want a chocolate bar' smoothie!
3. Fully Raw: Fully Raw is the most amazing page and youtube channel, of a girl who, as mentioned in the title, follows a fully raw diet. Her Pink Fully Raw Smoothie looks to die for!
